Vail ends free plastic grocery bags

Free throw-away plastic bags are no longer being distributed by Vail’s two grocery stores, and paper bags will cost 10 cents each. Town officials intend to later institute a ban on free plastic sacks at other retail stores. Whistler is eyeing changes to force more recycling and composting. Continue reading
